Look at the right stepped pyramids on the left side of the Egyptian display. It is described as "The stepped pyramid of Goffhotep, built during the Fourth Dynasty and located near Oakhurstia, the ancient Egyptian capitol on the Nile river. This is actually a reference to Oakhurst in California where Sierra had its headquarters.

Several paintings in the Old Masters Gallery refer to the game developers:
- one is titled as "Art Is Work" by Fra Bobetto Gleasoni, a reference to art designer Bob Gleason.
- One is titled as "Musings on Cyberspace" by John Wentworth, the Flemish Master, painted in 1533. John Wentworth is one of the programmers of the game.
- One is titled "Trouble on Two Legs" by Dennis Lewis, date unknown. Dennis Lewis was background artist, animator and voice actor of the game.
- One is titled "Two Brothers Drinking in a Tavern" by Rick Morgan, referring to background artist Maurice Morgan.
- One is titled "Cart Before The Horse" by Suzetto Livengoodoni, referring to background artist Suzi Livengood.
When looking at the baroness' dead body, use the magnifying glass on the paper on the floor in the upper left corner of the screen. It is a thank you note to Dr. Olympia from Lori O'Shannon, aged 12. This is a reference to Lorelei Shannon, who wrote additional material and voice acted in the game.
In Carrington's office there are phone numbers assigned to Sierra developers:
- T. Dargan is Tammy Dargan, credited as Special Thanks in the game credits.
- R. Williams is Roberta Williams, co-founder of Sierra and creative consultant of the game.
In Carrington's office look at the stars to find "the constellation of Cetus, and the star known as Deneb Kaitos Ecoquestus". you need to pinpoint the exact location here. This is a reference to Ecoquest: The Search for Cetus. This only works with the floppy version of the game.
In the preservation lab, Vat 14 contains King Edward of King's Quest (see also the listing of the vat contents on the desk of Ernie Leech). Vat 10 contains the unicorn from King's Quest 4. Vat 9 contains lemmings.
Examine the water glass with the magnifying glass. "Leyendecker Glassworks in Coarsegold, CA". Coarsegold is where Sierra's headquarters were located.

When Laura and Steve Dorian are escaping from the murderer, try to interpret the hieroglyphics in the tunnel with the snakes. They translate as "BUY SIERRA PRODUCTS".
In the mummy storage room, look at the mummy case just right of the elevator. His name is Itinkisawaputtytat IV. That is what Tweety Bird says when he sees Sylvester the Cat in Looney Toons! "I tink I saw a putty tat!"
