Type "ham and jam and spam a lot" in the treasury. Three soldiers will come dancing on a cheerful tune. It concludes with the text "In memory of Graham Chapman". Graham Chapman was an English comedian, actor, writer, physician and one of the six members of the Monty Python comedy team. He was also the lead actor in two of their films, playing King Arthur in Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Brian in Monty Python's Life of Brian. He died on October 4 1989 at the early age of 48 from spinal cancer.

The graffiti wall in the back alley of the bazaar (beside the textile shop) has the writing "pro bonus tempus apello Berta", which translates from Latin as "i'm calling Berta for a good time". This is possibly a reference to Roberta Williams, founder of Sierra On-Line. When you type "LOOK GRAFFITI", it responds "Let us say simply that it is someone's crude idea of a joke".

BEFORE buying and eating the apple, go to Ismael's antiquities shop in the bazaar and TALK TO MAN. He will introduce himself and claim he has hairs from the beard of Guruka Singh. This is a reference to producer Guruka Singh Khalsa.

You can also "ASK ABOUT BEARD" and he'll reply "That is rare and valuable. Have you ever tried to shave a Sikh? It is most dangerous." Guruka Singh Khalsa is a Sikh.

At the dock in Southampton, type "LOOK NAME" and it responds "It is Greek for Kristi". If you then type "LOOK KRISTI", the response is "Peter loves Christie and Christie loves Peter and that is all you need to know.". Clearly a reference to designers Christy Marx and Peter Ledger.

In the Queen's Bower, ask Gwenhyvere about Launcelot and she'll mention the Lady of the Lake, also referring to her as "The Watery Tart". This is taken from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail where a peasant refers to the Lady of the Lake as such when disputing Arthur's claim of being their king: "You can't expect to wield some supreme executive power, just because some watery tart threw a sword at you".
