In the mountains, in the screen after the yeti's cave, LOOK VALLEY for a reference to the Half-Dome and Sierra: "That must be Daventry! But why is Half-Dome here?" you wonder. "But, of course," you think, "it's a Sierra game!".
Dial the number 209-683-6858 from the narcotics office phone to call Sierra On-Line Customer Support. Larry Weissenborne will answer the phone, suggesting to order a hint book, but using a real phone.
Walking in the alley at the left of Lefty's bar will kill Larry. Luckily for him, the Sierra crew is working around the clock to create new Larries. There is also a spare Graham from King's Quest 1, along with the dragon, and the droid Roger Wilco purchases in Space Quest 1. Save before trying.
In the homicide office, use your phone to call the Sierra Customer Support Line: (209) 683-6858.
When you call this number there is also a 30% chance that Al Lowe (designer of Leisure Suit Larry) answers the phone. He'll say the following:
Hi This is Al; Al Lowe.
Well, hello Sonny Bonds. I don't know how you got me --must have been a bad connection. But since you sound like a potential customer, let me tell you about a new game out.
I just finished a great game called Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love in Several Wrong Places (LL2 for short).
You'll love becoming Larry Laffer, who's a little bit like all of us - a jerk, a nerd, and a loser.
But you can help Larry improve his self-esteem by finding the girl of his dreams.
So how does it sound?
Well go to the nearest software store and buy a copy - the funniest and funnest game I've ever played - and I'm sure you'll like it just as much as I do.
If this sounds like a promo, it is. But then why else did you call me?
Please note though, that Leisure Suit Larry is NOT, I repeat NOT, based on my own personal experience.
I gotta go now. I'm working on my new game "Leisure Suit Larry III featuring Polyester Patty."
Oh, and by the way, "Have a nice day".
You can also call Sierra's BBS line (which tells that BBS is so popular that all 16 lines are busy): (209) 683-4463
Look at the moose on the wall for a reference to Sierra's prop department. Moose heads have in fact been used several times in Sierra games: in Lefty's Bar in Leisure Suit Larry 1 (AGI), in Manannan's dining room in King's Quest 3, and possibly other games.
At the end of the game Roger Wilco and the Andromedans land at the Sierra offices in Oakhurst. Ken Williams greets them and hires both Andromedans as programmers.
At the scene in the mountains where Cedric gets caught by the wolf, look at the middle mountain peak. The narrator will say the mountain looks vaguely familiar to Graham. It has the same shape as the Half-Dome in Yosemite National Park, Sierra's logo.
When Laura and Steve Dorian are escaping from the murderer, try to interpret the hieroglyphics in the tunnel with the snakes. They translate as "BUY SIERRA PRODUCTS".
When you're not in the company of Sam and Julie, you can play the arcade game in the Short Stop Bar. It's titled "Stroids, another fine adventure from the Sierra family of games". At the end of the game you'll see the high scores, containing both names of Sierra game characters (Larry Laffer, Sony Bonds) and Sierra employees (Chris Carr, Dan Woolard, Daryl Gates and Lyle Lovett).
When Adrienne has finished taking bricks from the fireplace in the study room, the hole looks anything but normal. It in fact resembles Sierra's Half-Dome.
