This opening featurette introduces Creative Director Matt Korba and Producer Lindsey Rostal, who leapt at the opportunity to bring the unforgettable storytelling, puzzles and wit of the original games into a new era. Thinking about the future of a franchise with such a storied past, the team chose to begin this new journey at its end, as an aged King Graham takes his granddaughter, Gwendolyn, back through the untold tales of his astounding life.

King's Quest: "A Hand Painted Game" is the third installment of a four-part series taking you behind the scenes of King's Quest with Art Director Evan Cagle and Producer Lindsey Rostal of The Odd Gentlemen to see how the artwork is born on page before coming to life on screen. Creating a fantastic but compelling world true to the spirit of King's Quest required going back to the lessons of old. Beginning with 1990's King's Quest V, Sierra devised a way for its artists to draw out their ideas in vivid color and detail before scanning them into the game for further polishing. Now, 25 years later, the team is employing a similar technique to give this incredible reimagining of a classic tale the truly stunning storybook look it deserves.

King's Quest: "Music with Character," the final diary in the four-part series, goes inside the studio for a listen at how story sets the tone for King's Quest's new soundtrack. For The Odd Gentlemen's composer David Stanton, scoring a world teeming with as many fantastic creatures and strange personalities as King's Quest demanded a thematic approach. As an aging King Graham guides players back through the lost tales of his youth, those recurring motifs will be critical to exploring the people and events that shaped his destiny from humble beginnings to heroic nobility.
